Viv and I had our first holiday break last week. We flew to the Netherlands a week ago. We had a problem with our flight with KLM. We were not happy about it. KLM had changed our seats and downgraded us to economy class. It is a night flight so this is no fun when you are 2 meters and you are folded double in an economy class seat. I have complained but that is not going to compensate for our frustration and lack of sleep. However much more important was that we arrived at our house early in the morning. What I noticed most was the quietness and the way how everything is organised. Roads are smooth, there is not the constant intense noise of an overcrowded city. Everything is green and croquettes and Chinese food taste indeed the best in the Netherlands J We did extensive shopping and met family and friends. We also did the shopping for our yearly airfreight of food to Nigeria. We are allowed 1 time per year to airfreight 300 kilo of food or goods to Nigeria. This is very difficult to assess what to take the first time. No idea about the quantities and what you really need. We were very proud when we had bought everything and we were afraid it might be too much. On Tuesday it was picked up and we had only bought 150 kilo of food/goods.

It was a very short visit since we also still needed to go to Austria, so please do not feel offended that you did not know we were there. Next time we will make it more known.Viv needed to do all her checkups in Austria. All results were positive, so that is good news. Her vitamine D was extremely low last year, 15, now it’s 50, it should be above the 30, so she's very happy about this. The African sun is helping!

And then of course we went to the Wiener WIes'n with Jack, Ailsa, Hugo and a big group of Austrian friends. We stayed with Ulrika and Erik. They are really cool friends and always happy and positive. Thanks for having us with you! The Wiener Wies'n was great again. We will make this a yearly tradition and come back for it again. I hope my friends at Brau Union can help me again with tickets. At the Wiener wies'n we were in the Brau Union Area and there you have your own draught beer installation so you can pour your own beer.On Sunday we went to Wiener Neustadt to celebrate Robins ¼ century with the children and of course Robin and Armin. It was very relaxed to be there and have almost all of our children with us. Robin and Armin also informed us that they are planning to move to the hometown of Armin, Bad Gleichenberg. We have been there this summer and it is a very nice town in Steiermark.
Rob flew back on Monday the 8th, with a hand luggage suitcase full of meat and sandwich meat. He ordered so much, that it didn't fit in his suitcase. I’ve bought another suitcase to take the next load next week.
